Unlike most care homes which offer short term respite if they have beds available or where you are expected to live alongside “long term stay” guests, RCH provides only short-term stays for recovery and respite care. This niche offering is possible because RCH is a charity and contributes up to 50% towards the cost of each guest’s stay. So, when you visit, you are surrounded by positive people whose aim is to have a welcome break and then return home refreshed and raring to start anew! RCH is a wonderful place for friendly chats, to bounce ideas and experiences off each other whilst being cared for by a professional yet kind and encouraging team.

Your respite care team is a friendly, optimistic and highly qualified group of registered nurses and carers. The stunning building that is RCH is full of en-suite bedrooms, spacious yet cosy public rooms and the latest medical facilities. The in-house Chef provides tasty, nutritionally balanced fresh meals, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. The site is spectacular with acres of gardens overlooking the sea. There are things to do to suit everyone at RCH. You may like to sit quietly in the library, lounge or conservatory or you may prefer strolling around the gardens. It is entirely up to you!
